Thingaa means three rocks in Maldivian. The top of the shallowest rock starts at 18m. It is located right in the middle of the oceanic channel north west of Hanifaru Thila. The circle of coral blocks are covered with soft corals specially in the over hangs. Check inside the over hangs for the resting nurse sharks. Contact Liquid Salt Divers for more information.

The northern thila of the Dhigurashu Kandu is this thila. The formation is curious, as is based in several pinnacles raising from 25 to 16-12m, creating small walls and mini dropoffs. The currents can be really strong and weird in the maze of thilas. A compass is usefull and a safety balloon, as the safety stop is usually in open water.

North west of Miyaru Faru channel, in the middle between faru and Dhiya Adi Faru, there is a small thila, with the reef top between 8 and 10 m deep. You can see the same pelagics as in miyaru faru, plus a school of trevally and powder blue surgeon fish that rubbles on the diver bubbles. Try to dive with peak ingoing current, having the current point on the north-east side of the thila.

This is one of the last lost sites in Baa Atoll, only handful of dive centres know about this beautiful manta cleaning station. Liquid Salt Divers discovered this site in 2016. The best part of this place is manta rays are almost always found cleaning here during the manta season. And the corals are untouched due to lack of divers.

THILA AND SENDY AREA. MANTAS CLEANING STATION

Outside of Vilamendhoo, on the outer part of the atoll there is this narrow thila that goes from 25 to 5m. The west si a drop off while the other points step down slower. Many huge seafans can be found. On the north part there is a very big rock with a cave at 25m. Mantas can be seen here maybe.

Thinfushi Ethere Thila is one of the other scattered thilas around Dhigurashu Kandu. Lies between 8 and 25m with very nice caves and seafans. Is claimed that the seafans here are the best of Ari, normally inside the caves. The thila is 100m long and the best diving is between 15 to 20m, where the main caves are.

East of Vhamaafaru, very close to the small lagoon, there are three peaks creating a 150m long thila with the top at 6m, creating a perfect spot with a nice reef for a long safety stop. The thila drops at 20m on the west, and to 30 on the east. Nurse sharks can be found inside small cavities. During march, mantas can be seen here.

On the northern side of Maalhoss there is the Maalhohu Uthuru Kandu, and in the middle this thila. The top is at 6m and in the south part there is a group of caves starting at 7m. They keep descending at a maximum of 25m. Inside lots of black coral (coloured white). This is a nice place for photograpy.

Maayaa thila is probably one of the most popular dive sites in North Ari Atoll, and is common to find 3, 4 or more dhoanis around with lots of divers around, specially in high season. Himendhoo is a 4km wide Kandu with 3 main dive sites. The outside corner, the inside one, and Himendhoo thila, or Donkadlo Thila. That's one of the area dive sites where you can meet manta rays (usually from december to april). Don't miss the caves and overhangs between 20m and 30m.

Yacht Thila is located 1 km east of Dhigufinolhu Island Resort. It's a smallthila with a diameter of 50 meters. A small vessel was deliberately sunkdown to give the experience of wreck diving to tourist. The wreckhouses moray eels, batfish and groupers.

In the channel to the south of Madivaru there is this narrow long thila of 400m. It is also called Dhigu Thila like the one in south Male. The reef top starts at 3 - 5m and ends in the edges at 10m. There is a 18m plateau running from the west side. On the south there are caves from 22 to 26m.

The south of Miriandhoo is a very small but deep thila, sometimes with strong current that can even drag the diver down. The place is quite isolated and it attracts turtles, snapper schools and sometimes eagle rays.

In the Halaveli region, at the nort east of Ari, there is this long reef / thila. Is a complicated dive and as is not protected, when the wind peaks or with strong currrents the sea is rough. Nelivaru Thila is a good dive for almost anybody. You can spend most of your time along the slope in the northwest side, where the reef slopes down from 3m to 30 and many corals spread out, or you can face some currents and explore the overhangs of the southeast part. Turtles can be seen around the slopes, and in the reef top many scorpionfish.

Also known as Kuda Thila is located 2km south west of Dhonfaru.Is a relatively small thila of about 50m diameter, that starts at 7m and slopes down to 40m. Here you can find big trevally and schools of blue striped snapper. Also tuna and stingrays on the bottom.

On ther SW of Kudafolhudhoo lies this reef. On the south is a long drift dive with sandy bottom at 25m. White tips can be seen around. The coral is not very good and if the current is strong is easy to be washed away in less than 20min. The reef top is at 6 - 8m, so is easy to finish the dive with some coral boulders and reef fishes.

Dhigu Thila is a narrow and long thila going from east to west, about 150m south east of Anga Faru. The top is at 6m and goes down to 30m, with a sharp drop off in the easter side.In this dropoff there is a large cave at 13m full of black coral. In the Rasfari region there is this small thila. "Mas" means fish in Dhivehi. There is not much coral in this dive site, but is plenty of fish life. It goes to a maximum of 30m in not too steep slopes. At the bottom parts some stingrays can be found. Cruising along are schools of rainbow runner, barracuda and big tunas.

experienced divers only!woshi mas is hard to find. once you find it, you have to get down to 18m quickly, as the thila is in the open blue and if you can?t get to it you will drift away and end the dive before it begins.on the top of the thila you will have to grab on it and then watch the sharks. furthermore you will see a lot of pelagic fish
