Dive-safari
This 7-night cruise combines the underwater world of the world's only granitic mid-ocean islands with a PADI dive instructor as your guide, together with the rustic charms of a historic early 1900s vessel that doubles as a full-service floating hotel.
Although we do offer diving on all our year-round cruise departures, the Seychelles Dive Safari provides a more concentrated dive experience for those seeking to maximize their time spent underwater, as well as to discover the widest possible variety of different dive sites during a Seychelles holiday.
The dates for the special dive-safaris are carefully selected. They coincide with the calmest periods to provide the best dives, Seychelles can offer - the best bet for flat-calm seas and amazing visibility.
Excursions & Other Activities
While diving is the primary focus of this cruise, the Seychelles archipelago is as diverse as it is beautiful,
allowing us to accommodate non-diving companions with no shortage of activities parallel to the diving excursions. Visits to nature reserves and island sanctuaries, as well as snorkelling and kayaking, are available throughout the cruise, meaning partners unable to dive can enjoy the experience fully, with or without a good book.
The landing fees for these excursions are included under our conservation fees in the total price package.
Our vessels are PADI Dive Resorts, with on-board dive instructor at all times. With the assistance of the crew he takes care of all the divers' needs above and below the water. Safety and emergency equipment is located on-board according to the PADI dive resorts requirements.
Crew
With a guest-to-crew ratio of 2-to-1 at maximum occupancy, we offer a unique brand of authentic Seychellois hospitality at sea. In addition to the dive instructor our crew consists of the captain, engineer, 2 deckhands, 2 stewardesses and a dedicated chef.

SV Sea Pearl is a 36m schooner, providing overnight accommodation in 8 air-conditioned cabins, with a service concept that is more like a floating hotel.

Facilities for rinsing the equipment with fresh water and protecting it from the sun are also available.Electricity connections (European two-prong, round pin) are available in the salon and in the cabins, allowing for divers to charge cameras and upload photos to their laptops anytime of day while on-board.

Sea Shell and Sea Pearl allow guests to discover the islands’ most exclusive and hard-to-reach places, from tiny granite islets to beautiful hidden coves. From November to April, weekly 7-night cruises depart every Saturday from Port Victoria, Mahé venturing throughout most of the inner island archipelago. From May to October, a shorter 6-night cruise is offered from the island of Praslin. Charters are also available for up to 16 pax for groups of friends, family or executives who wish to discover the islands privately in their own way, cruises can be tailored to almost any special interest. Sea Shell and Sea Pearl each feature 8 air-conditioned guest cabins in two different categories. Category A cabins offer a double bed with extra bunk, whereas Category B cabins feature single bunk beds for two or sometimes three individuals. Each cabin has a washbasin as well as reading lights, storage cupboard and power connections for charging computers and cameras or using other electronic devices such as hair-dryers. Bathroom facilities are compartmentalized separately from the cabins and guests share these facilities during the cruise. Cabins and bathrooms are cleaned daily by our crew. The public areas include a main air-conditioned saloon, as well as a covered open-air back deck/leisure area, a padded sundeck and netting on the bow which serve as suspended hammocks for guests to relax and unwind.
