Erlangen is the name of a german city, and this wreck took the name from it. 3500 tons of boat, wrecked in 1894 on its way from Colombo to Hamburg. The reef top is a small thila at 15 meters, where the main remains can be found. The rest are scattered around the bottom, over the edge, deeper than 50m. The wreck is very damaged and all incrusted with coral. The anchor, winch and plates can be found at the reef top, whereas the stern, lying on its starboard is around 30m. The propeller is at 45 meters. Many juvenile reef fishes can be found around, different species of groupers and nudibranches.
