Shoal Reef Drift
Cret-Cheu is located close to Santa Monica Beach and just 15 minutes by boat from the Dive Center at RIU Touareg. Enjoy the view over Boa Vista’s pristine coast line as you prepare for the second dive of your morning. Cret-Cheu has plenty of small rocky ridges along a sandy bottom and is mainly done as a drift dive. No need to worry about your NDL as this dive takes you to a maximum of 10 meters depth. Fly through clouds of Sea Breams and watch trigger fish, trumpet fish or parrot fish swimming along. Look for big stingrays at the sandy stretches and keep an open eye under overhangs and into cracks. Here you might find nurse sharks, lobsters, groupers, moray eels, spider crabs and other marine surprises. Nothing underneath?!– have a look at the top; sure there are some fire worms and nudibranchs around.
