Apo Reef
Apo Reef, Mindoro
Wall
Famous for its dramatic drop-offs down to 400 metres, the steep walls of Apo reef (not to be confused with Apo Island, Dumaguete) are covered with corals, sponges, tunicates, nudibranchs and slugs. Green and hawksbill turtles and a multitude of fish including damselfish, butterfly fish, batfish, surgeonfish, snappers, fusiliers and trevallies can be expected. Where strong currents are present, there is the increased chance of sighting mantas, barracudas and sharks.
