Dive in Japan

Travel to Japan

Japan, the land of the rising sun, usually conjures up images of volcanoes draped in mist and silhouetted at the horizon, of cherry blossom trees dispersing their delicate flowers on a breeze by a clear spring day, of centuries old temples where ancients gods are venerated by faithful followers, of complex traditions such as the tea ceremony that escape western understanding and of course hyper modern cities busy with gentle people going about their daily lives. It is a country that offers great contrasts and graceful subtleties. Japan is truly an exciting and mysterious land to discover, where exotic surprises await visitors around every corner and, underwater.

It may not be the first country that comes to mind when you think of scuba diving. But in fact, the country has over 2,000 dive spots. And with the Japanese archipelago ranging from the sub-tropical diving in Okinawa to the almost arctic cold of northern Hokkaido diving, there is sure to be something for every kind of diver. In particular, in addition to warm weather all year round and equally warm people, the southern island prefecture of Okinawa provides world-class scuba diving.

Kabira peninsula, and in particular Ishigaki Island, are one of the most exotic recent diving destination, with its magical underwater world of the Far East, it will unveil itself to the privileged divers who completed the journey here and who are looking for new exotic dive sites to write about in their logbooks, not unlike the first explorers and traders who wrote about their adventures in their journals.
