Diving in Ishigaki island

While the extraordinary marine life is enough of a reason to dive the turquoise waters of Ishigaki, the main attraction remains the elegant mantas that congregate in great numbers in the summer months. There are in fact several dive sites that mantas visit on their oceanic pilgrimage as these reefs are cleaning stations where they simply circle in a slow underwater ballet and wait for the cleaner wrasses to remove the parasites that incrusted their skin. One of the most celebrated dive sites that mantas regularly visit is Manta Scramble.
