Luncheon bay is a very popular dive location with overnight charter boats operating in the Whitsundays. There is often great visibility and the coral reefs here are completely protcted ensuring huge quantities of fish life and amazing coral formations.
The coral formations at Luncheon bay form many gullies and swimthoughs suited for the snorkeller and it's not uncommon for the larger pelaegic fishes to find their way along the walls and drop offs of this site. It has some nice coral bommies, but can be crowded at times.
