Karang Makasar - Manta Point

Reef

The reef does not have much in the way of Coral or fish life however this location is a Manta Ray aggregation site. The best way to find the Manta Rays is to cruise along the Eastern face of the reef until you see them at the surface. The best time is during rising tide when there sometimes can be up to 40 Manta Rays.
The best is to drift dive from the northern passage all along the current and spot the groups of mantas aggregating
