We are a Marine Research and Conservation centre based in the midde of the local village in Perhentian. We conduct scientific and conservation research around the marine park, completing underwater surveys on coral reefs, maintaining coral nurseries and engaging with the locals.

By volunteering with us, you can spend a week participating in conservation research, learning about environmental threats and diving in beautiful waters.

Our research element and strong conservation goals, as well as location make us unique to Perhentian.

Diving Packages

2 Week Volunteer Package

As a volunteer, you will be immersed in conservation and research. You will receive up to 8 dives a week, including two snorkel trips. You will be provided accommodation within the Blue Temple House and three meals a day, including enjoying a Malay dinner.

You will learn about fish and invertebrate identification, substrate, ocean processes and conservation issues, and will use this knowledge to participate in research during dives.

Your diving will take place at various sites around the marine park, conducting reef surveys and helping to maintain the coral nurseries.

PADI Open Water or Advanced Open water; 7 days 6 nights

Join the project for one week and get trained as an eco-diver. We will train you as either a PADI Open Water diver or Advanced Open Water diver (one course per booking) and provide enhanced buoyancy training to make you the best you can be!

We provide accommodation, 3 meals a day, snorkeling and up to 8 dives (course and fun). All you have to worry about is getting here and insurance!

We will arrange your ferry ride to the islands and meet you when you get here. You will stay in the village and get to experience the real Malaysian culture, not the tourist trap commonly found a resorts.

Group Booking 7 days, 6 nights

Are you a member of a club? or just looking for a totally unique scuba diving holiday for you and your friends? then look no further.

Our group package service offers an opportunity for you and your friends to join our project for 1 week and become eco trained divers. We will provide enhanced buoyancy training as well as underwater survey and conservation training.

Joining our project gives you the chance to dive in stunning waters with beautiful marine life whilst contributing and participating in invaluable conservation efforts.
