Sozopol is the best and biggest diving location in Bulgaria. There are 4 diving centers in town with all diving services from fun diving to courses.
Most of the diving in Sozopol is done at St Stephan Bay, with striking underwater landscapes, the depths range from 6-20 metres meaning it's suitable for beginners and advanced divers.
There's also the wreck of the Rodina, a deep dive to 40 metres where you can see this cargo ship, still in good conditions with the bow anchors still in place.

Why do you have to visit Sozopol? Because of his history and beauty. Sozopol is a small ancient town, located 30 km from Burgas, on the coast of Black sea.
The town is known with his small streets and woody houses. The history is all around you. Quiet and calm town, Sozopol is a perfect location for a nice holidays and diving. Accommodation is easy to find, because of the many hotels and houses and you will pay around 5 euros per person for a bed or 30 per person for a room.
There are a variety of restaurants and pubs – from traditional Bulgarian food, to Italian, Mediterranean and Irish pubs. The prices are low and the people are hospitable. A meal in a restaurant is around 15-30 euro per person
Sozopol has two ports, where you can rent a boat for diving or excursions. Near the town there are 2 historical islands, where you can dive or just making a BBQ and relax.
