The small wreck of Zabargad is located on the NE side, in shallow water. This is not the main interest of the area! If possible, ask for dives in Rocky Island!...
Recommended Equipment: 3mm wetsuit in summer, and 5mm wetsuit in winter
Prices: The common belief that you will save a lot of money is questionable, as courses here cost between US$350 and US$500 (€280 and €400).
Seasons: All year round diving season. It follows the northern hemisphere Summer and Winter seasons. If you wish to have warm water it is best to visit the Red Sea between June and September.
Water Temperature: 20°C (68°F) in February, 27°C (81°F) from July to October
Air Temperature: Air temperatures in Egypt reaches 40°C (104°F) in August and falls to 20°C (68°F) in the winter (December to February).
Highlights: Wreck diving, coral reefs, wall dives and pelagic. Also Whale sharks and Oceanic White Tip sharks.
Currents: The currents do vary and can be from gentle to very strong.
