Briefing of The Whorehouse, aka The Airport
This site is either named for the now-defunct brothel across the bay, or the fact that the site lies in the lee of Isla Colon, adjacent to the airport runway. The water here is usually the calmest of all dive sites and covers a sloping reef which stretches around the base of the island. Sandy plains down to 6m are home to northern stargazers, southern/yellow/eagle rays and an amazing abundance of urchins. A wide variety of life can be found here, if you take it slowly. When the tide is right, it’s possible to end this dive at another popular site, “The Wreck”
