The average depth is 15 meters although the maximum depth you can reach is 25 meters
To reach La Poza de Sabalos you have to do it Drive from Playa del Carmen and boat from Xcalak
This dive site is best suited for Medium divers.

5 minutes boat ride from shore. Tarpon all year round. Sometimes you can see Turtles, Eagle Rays, Sting Rays, Nurse Sharks, Morey Eels...

Also known as tarpon hole. (Sabalo is tarpon in Spanish.) This is one one the highlights of xcalac. A really amazing dive with hundreds of tarpons surrounding you in the channel. If visibility is good the feeling is even better but you can dive in almost any condition. Right after jump you can see them. Really worth it.
