Wakatobi Divers, in partnership with research and expedition organisation Operation Wallacea, as well as the University of Essex, recreational diving and marine ecology training.
We are also the only dive centre on Hoga Island that offers recreational dive courses.
We pride ourselves on producing world-class research data that contributes to meaningful conservation decisions involving the local community, the Wakatobi National Park authorities and the Indonesian government.
Accommodation: traditionally-built wooden fisherman huts on stilts with ocean views, local-style “Mandi” bathroom and private balcony with hammocks. Both double and single rooms at extremely affordable rates.
Full Board is included with accommodation price.

Our liveaboard boat, the MV Bintang Sedang, was originally built as a research vessel for Operation Wallacea and still operates as such in expedition season (June-July). Wakatobi Divers runs the Bintang Sedang liveaboard during the calm weather months September through November. Please contact us for more information.
