The shop is owned and operated by Brian Young, he has many years of Dive training experience and many, many years of diving experience. He was one of Placencia first dive masters and instructors. Prior to opening his dive shop, Brian was a native fisherman and skin diver. He knows the reef as only someone who has made a living from the sea can.

Brian started the whale shark expeditions in Belize, and started taking out diver and snorkeler to encounter these gentle and majestic creates since the early 1990's.

Apart from Whale Shark Excursions Seahorse Dive Shop also offers Daily Diving to the Belize Barrier Reef, as well as trips to the Great Blue Hole, Glover's Reef Atoll, Shark Hole, and South Water Caye.
