ScubaCaribe in Ocho Rios is a PADI 5 Star Dive Center and Water Sports Center which is located on the beautiful beach of ClubHotel Riu Ocho Rios.

We offer daily scuba diving trips to the most interesting dive sites in waters nearby Ocho Rios including spectacular diving in Katherine Shipwreck, an old Canadian minesweeper which was sunk by purpose in order to create and underwater artificial reef and at the same time attraction for divers. All of the dive sites are reachable within a quick max 15 minutes (apart Shipwreck-30 min.) boat ride leaving directly from the hotel beach. As PADI dive center we offer wide range of PADI courses, for beginners as well as for certificated divers willing to gain new skills.

All the dive spots in this area are rich in marine life, making Jamaica diving paradise. Here divers can expect to see different types of rays, sharks, turtles, variety of corals (fan corals, brain corals, tube corals and others), sponges and many tropical fishes among which angel fish, squirrelfish, bluehead wrasses,
hamlets, grunts and many others!

Diving center's team considers safety to be first and foremost priority while diving ensures each holiday turning to be an unforgettable experience. We dive in small groups divided by experience of divers and our professional and friendly team will be always ready and happy to share with the guest its knowledge
and long diving experience.

Everyone can enjoy different sport activities using our new and well maintained equipment. Apart from diving, ScubaCaribe has in the offer snorkeling excursions, catamaran cruises and lots of water sport equipment like kayaks, paddle boat, windsurf and others.

For all our guests who are certificated EANx Divers we offer free of charge NITROX tanks!

Please note that divers who haven’t dived for a long time may be asked to do a Refresh Course.

I stayed at the RIU hotel and was informed that the scuba dive was all inclusive with the hotel stay with a $10 pay for the scuba gear. Once I got to the dive center I was informed that it cost $118. Bait and switch. The only reason why I stayed at the RIU hotel was to scuba dive! Not good so I paid the price of $118. I found the e-mail stating that the dive was all inclusive as stated above. I was refunded $118 and apologized too, then 2 dives were free. I arrived the next day for the morning dive. Mike the manager told me Scubacaribe was not going to give the 2 dives for free. He said " Since you are the only diver today.... I can cancel the boat trip". He made excuses for example the e-mail states free tank and boat ride but that doesn't mean that there is oxygen in the tank! You have to pay for the air! SMH ... I tried to reason with him with the evidence of the e-mail. He made excuse after excuse to justify what was in plain black in white. "ALL INCLUSIVE except the scuba gear". So what to do??? Mike does not care about the customer and only cares about the bottom line. Please do not fall for the bait and switch. Dont waste your time to Scuba dive at Scubacaribe. There are better dive centers. Please do your homework or it will be a waste of your time.

Had a great dive with my sons 2 weeks ago. Diego Heaven was an amazing dive instructor. He made us feel safe, calm and fun to dive. If you dive in Riu Ocho Rios, look for the dive master Diego Heaven. Good luck with your dive. J. Duncan. Scotland. UK.
