Gunner Island Safari
The Gunners Island is about 25 minutes boat trip and amongst our best activities! It’s an Island of about 108 meters high and 1.5km circumference although not round at all. The Gunners Island Safari is a half day trip with 2 dives (9h30 – 14h00). The great thing about diving on Flat Island or Gunners Island is that the visibility is almost always very good. Also, there are less diving traffic, which promotes wellness of fauna and flora even more that on the dives we regularly visit near the Mauritian shores. There are 5 dive sites all around the Gunner Island. The most planned is the Djabeda wreck which has been sunk since about 16 years, and the famous confetti bay for its amazing fauna and flora. Then there is the majestic Sea fan valley with its huge sea fans and large group of snappers and fuseliers. We also have the Carpenter caves, the two caves and last but not least Pyramid with passages of pelagics and the wall cleaning stations. All our divers come back with a smile on their face!
Drinks and sandwiches are included in the safari, within the boat as the Island does not allow boat access. However, a tour down the southern side of the Island with the boat is done at the end of the activity. Make sure to bring sun cream, glasses and hut, and take preliminary precautions from sea sickness as medications.

PADI Discover Scuba
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater. If you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it. While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.
There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to –after all, human beings weren’t designed to do that – but after a few minutes of awestruck wonder, most participants realize how easy scuba diving really is. The biggest challenge instructors have with the Discover Scuba Diving program is not coaxing participants into the water, but coaxing them out when the program is over.
