My boyfriend is a big fan of scuba diving, I myself on the other hand have never tried it before. When we arrived at tropicana resort in Ios we noticed some ads for scuba diving opportunities. We chose meltemi and were far from disappointed. I considered doing a beginners dive, but they presented a very fast option to do a 12m certification. I live in NYC and have never been eager to jump into the Hudson or a dark pool to get my certification. This seemed like a perfect opportunity. My diving instructor was Chris and she not only took excellent care of me but made the whole experience fun and seamless. I have had many friends undergo stressful scuba training, with Chris the relaxation part of my vacation continued and became even more fun. I even got to see a ship wreck on my send day! The team at meltemi overall is very dynamic and fun starting with management. We were only at Ios for a couple of days, but now would love to go back for a week and do more diving! Meltemi helped me overcome all my new diver challenges. Highly recommend for beginner and expert divers!

I started my Open Water course with Meltemi on summer of 2014, Kate and Jason are amazing people, very professional and the always have safety as priority. All their equipment is very well maintained and new. I got my Open water diver certificate with them and i am going back this summer to do my Advanced open water and Dive master course with them. For anyone that wants to dive in Greece i definitely recommend Meltemi Dive Centre.

I dived with Meltemi Dive Centre in 2013, and enjoyed it so much, I went back and dived with them again last Summer. I'm relatively new to diving and I love it, but I was quite nervous at the beginning. I found Kate, Jason and her staff extremely professional. I felt completely safe diving with them. Their attention to detail and professionalism is second to none!! The diving was great fun, and we saw lots of wonderful sea-life! The equipment was very well looked after and Kate and Jason were always very safety-conscious which really put my mind at rest. They have a swimming pool where we learnt the basic skills, before going into the sea which is only 50 metres from the dive centre. Thanks to Kate and her team I am now a certified Open Water Diver, and I hope to return to Meltemi Dive and qualify as a Advanced Open Water Diver this Summer. If you're considering scuba diving in Greece, I thoroughly recommend Meltemi Dive Centre.

I learnt to dive here 2 summers ago and was extremely nervous but Kate, Jason and all the team were brilliant - extremely patient and professional. We went back last year and they made sure we were completely happy and confident before we went back into the water. Will be back in 2015.

An amazing dive school!! Dived with meltemi for the first time in 2012 and went back the following 2 years. Kate and Jason - the owners are so friendly and welcoming that I returned to train up to Divemaster and then eventually DCS (so I may be slightly biased on the staff comments). This school really does pride itself on its safety and equipment, everything revolves around it! Every year I've been the staff have been laid back but again safe, there is always a good atmosphere around the dive school - helped by the fact that it is in Far Out Resort. Kate takes the time to get to know all divers personally,this is most of the reason I did return, but it really does make for a comfortable dive! And Jason is the most calming influence in the water - perfect for beginners! Ios is definitely well worth a visit, and diving in the crystal clear waters is a must!

I did my Open Water with Meltemi Dive Center in 2013. I had never dived before but they did a great job of making sure I was comfortable and learnt everything I needed to learn. My friend and I were short on time so they managed to move a few things around and fit the course into our tight schedule. They were so accomodating. I only wish that I had the funds and the time to go back and become a dive master with them. Thankyou for showing me a part of the world I would never have seen without you :)

Katherine and Jason at the Meltemi Dive School give you a diving experience with so much more it makes you want to stay and never leave staff are really friendly and the dive school is also wheelchair friendly diving with a disability gives so many challenges not just as a diver but for the dive crew at Meltemi that make the whole experience easy I have been diving for 10yrs and i wouldn't go anywhere else Good value for money and the island ios you fall in love with its views the places to eat and drink in town Katherine and Jason will always recommend the best places to go for diving and for eating and for going out a good all round experience

I visit this diving center few years ago. Best quality of instructor and equipment and nice dive site.i suggest to any one to dive with them! Best wrek ever and good visibility, i've enjoy all my dives.

the staff is so friendly and wants to help you .they have beautiful wrecks and the visibility is outstanding and you can almost look forever . Lots of fish I recommend this dive center to everyone you loves diving and that wants to learn

Great place to dive!!!There are great staff who show you the underwater life in this place with pleasure. Awesome dives with a lot of fish and stuuning wreck. I recommended this dive center to everone.

Great place to dive, with an AMAZING wreck dive and the visibility was unmatched and nearly 80meters. This center is IDEAL for those looking to get their ticket and has some great dives and it was the best day activity I did on the island in 4 months. If you want to dive or learn to dive this is the ONLY place to do it.

With happy staff, I was greeted by some cool people and encouraged in my diving and felt very supported and comfortable. There is also an AMAZING wreck dive and the visibility was unmatched and nearly 80meters. This center is IDEAL for those looking to get their ticket and has some great dives and it was the best day activity I did on the island in 4 months. If you want to dive or learn to dive this is the ONLY place to do it.
