Hello All the Tobruk is lying in about 14 metres on the port side and the bottom is at 28 metres This vessel is massive and is about 25 nautical miles form Hervey bay about 1.5 hours trip This is one of the largest vessels ever sunk in australian waters for recreational divers Many keen divers would like to dive the site initially because of its size we did two dives with about an hour and a half surface interval visibility was about 15 metres The massive propeller is in about 18 metres of water In years to come once the marine life is established this will be the new Yongala or its equivalent There are many access holes for divers to enter the ship the main thing is that you should always be able to see the exit point or light from it There are some longer swim throughs that will be with a guide diver or for qualified wreck divers penetration put it on your must dive in Australia
