Do not waste your money, this place is a scam. There isn't much information on this place online, but I now know the owner ran a previous dive centre that had many complaints and was banned from operating, and has now reopened under a new name. It's the same guy, and I think he has been de-registered by PADI because his business card has a list of qualifications he had "previously" but not currently. We paid 230 euros each for 2 shallow dives, plus 40 euro fee to take my own camera. The owner was extremely rude, pointing and saying 'sit!' so we could pay him. The price was extortionate, particularly now that I know there is nothing to see down there but rocks. He was gone by the time we got back. Even though they told us to be there at 10am, they made us sit in the sun waiting until 1pm before some other people arrived and we could begin. This wasted a whole day for us, we could have used that time to do something else as we were only here for the weekend. I believe they just didn't want to pay to take the boat out twice, so they made us wait. By the time we left we were hungry and my sea sickness tablets had worn off. We got on the little boat and went just around the corner - and the second dive was back in the harbour. It was all basically within sight of where we had been sitting. When we reached the first site, they had forgotten the snorkel for the passenger who had paid for snorkelling. My dive buddy's BCD was ruptured and could not fill with air, so the instructor linked arms with her the whole way. The air tasted strongly of plastic or something industrial, which made us all nervous. Two of the four divers dropped out before we descended, and it was just my dive buddy and I left with the instructor. The others did not want to risk using bad air. Under the water, visibility was terrible but we had expected that. What we didn't realise was that the Egyptian authorities had already removed every status and artefact from the sunken city, so there is actually nothing to see down there. You will see a few fish and some rocks, which are ostensibly from the fallen lighthouse. There is nothing else identifiable as anything and you can barely see anyway. My dive buddy was getting a headache from the air and didn't do the second dive - so it was just me with the instructor. We saw one big urn under the water, and more rocks. I was freezing and the wetsuit they gave me was not an adequate thickness. I shivered the whole time between dives and was really uncomfortable. The guide made apologies but I could tell he did not like the owner or the way things were run.
