I contacted St. Croix Ultimate Bluewater to do some diving with them while on a cruise vacation. I was informed they dived both on the north and south side of the island, the north being the better side (more advanced diving near the wall). I signed up for the north side as I currently have my DM license.
I jumped on the first taxi and made it to the dive shop 30 mins prior to departure, however the boat left without me with two other divers. This is the reason I give them 4/5 stars. I understand mistakes happen and it was a simple mistake. The wife of the captain (owner) was in the shop and was very apologetic, and contacted the boat, they said they were already near the dive site, so they would do one dive and come back for me.
I waited in the shop and walked around town till they came back to shore. The captain and DM were both sincere in their apologises, and I told them not to worry.
I was under the impression that I was going to miss the wall, as they only go out there in the morning, however the captain took us back out there (almost 30 mins boat ride). The two other divers on the boat were both excited, and even more excited when we came across 3 reef sharks on the dive.
We dropped off the two divers back on shore (as they had completed two dives) then they took me out for one more dive, before I had to grab my taxi back to shore.
In the end I would highly recommend SCUBA (St. Croix Ultimate Bluewater Adventure). Everyone was very nice, good gear (just borrowed a BCD/wetsuit as I had the rest of my gear).
