I have been to Spice Island Dive resort 5 times,(formerly it was Maluku Divers) The diving is similar to Lembeh strait with many fascinating critters including yellow a purple Rhinopias and Ambon Scorpionfish. The resort is simple consisting of a number of separate mini villas. There is a good camera room. All of the staff are delightful. I do not understand why it is not more used. The resort is only 10 minutes from Ambon airport
