Season Challenge is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort, fully equipped and ready for many different activities, we offer both land and sea activities, our main operation is focused on try dives, daily dives and diving packs, off-shore diving and PADI scuba diving courses from basic levels (PADI Open Water) to professional levels (PADI Divemaster), we are open everyday! Our base is in the heart of the main city Ponta Delgada.
Season Challenge currently has 2 boats with a combined capacity of 20 divers.
Diving groups always include a professional diveguide and only 4 divers per group and divemaster is allowed, this ensures top safety and quality dives for everyone, the groups are also balanced according to experience and certification.
A regular day for diving would be 2 dives in the morning from 8:30 to 13:00 and another 2 dives in the afternoon from 14:00 to 17:30, daily times may change depending on the dive spots, other activities may also occur at the same time.
We always make breaks between dives returning to the marina and enjoy a great cup of tea and local biscuits!
Diving in São Miguel is amazing, there is dive spots for all types of divers and levels. The most visited dive spot in the area is Ship Wreck Dori (Libertyship) length 130 meters resting at a maximum depth of 20 meters, this old cargo ship is a marine reserve full of sea life and very close to us, about 10 minutes away from the marina.
It is also possible to dive all the year, water temperature ranges from a minimum of 15 cº winter to 23 cº summer, our cressi dive center wetsuits are 7mm.
Full Cressi equipment is available for rent, and it is revised every year ensuring the safety of every diver!
For us, the air quality in our diving tanks is a crucial factor. Season Challenge is one of the few diving centers in Azores with a BAUER Pure Air station, guaranteeing that our customers will always dive with a pure breathing air, meeting the highest standards for safe diving.
