My wife and I dived recently with Sea Qurst. We payed $240 for 2 dives on the 16th October. We were picked up as arranged at our Hotel at the set time. On arrival at the Dive Centre we were asked to complete the paperwork but no Dive Medical. I had to enquire where this was. We were told the dive site was “not too good visibility wise and some surge”. Once on the boat we were told to kit up and jump in. Little chance to do Buddy Checks and no orientation of the dive site, a Reef. On descent the vis was about 5 metres at best, nothing to see which I appreciate can be the case. No surge to speak of. The dive lasted about 35 mins. After 32 mins SI we arrived at the second site, a Russian Freighter, now broken up and twisted metal. Again no orientation and no chance to do Buddy Checks. After 40 mins we had seen very little. Trip back uneventful but Italian Girl accompanying us seemed intent on selling us her Go Pro photos at an extra cost of $80. We declined. Overall we were “underwhelmed” by the mornings diving. We are both experienced Divers and appreciate you can’t control the vis but to charge $240 for that seems a bit of a Rip Off. The whole thing was rushed and the Instructor was more concerned with getting back in the water for his afternoon dives. We didn’t get a great impression of Dominican diving which I’m guessing must be better than that. I write this on reflection after returning home. You can go to other Resorts and pay a lot less and have a much better time
