I planned to do 2 dives with Scuba Addicts in Krabi for the following day. I paid 2000 baht towards the 2500 cost and asked whether if for any reason I could not dive, I would get my money back. I was told yes, without any qualifications.
In the early hours of the following morning, I was involved in a hit and run motorbike accident and was rushed to hospital and couldn't obviously dive that day or the near future.
Despite the accident and my injuries (of which they saw proof) and despite the fact that I had booked the dives only 7 hours previously, Scuba Addicts refused to refund me all of my money and insisted on retaining 500 Baht towards their "costs".
I tried to call the manager Tim, but was on AM and so I left a message, which has not been returned. I wrote them an email and I've had no response.
I was told I would get my money back, but I didn't. I am curious as to what costs were incurred in a 10 hr period, but whether they were or not, I feel their attitude and response to my situation was frankly appalling and most certainly not within the goodwill and support I have always had with diving companies.
As a diver, I enjoy the fantastic community that divers have and enjoy with each other and I've never had an issue prior to this. Shame on them!! Book with them with caution, or even better, don't book with them at all.
