I brought 2 regulator to him for service. They had them for 3 weeks, when I called to see if they were ready, he said they were, come and get them. I paid,and brought the regulators on a dive trip where the both literally fell apart. The 1st stage came apart on both regs. A fellow on the boat was a technician and upon inspection, he said that neither were recently serviced because of the green filter. I will never - never trust anything to LG, or ever visit his shop again.

Mr Garrard certainly had the experience and knowledge but he lacks an important sensitivity and human element required for dealing with customers and the public. I took the first part of his course a few years ago vowing that I never wanted to get into the water with him as an instructor because I wouldn't be comfortable. His son (mid 30's) however is good working with people. His son, and I worked out an arrangement for open water certification but Mr. Garrard would never honor that agreement and consequently I delayed in getting certified. Today I met him at his request to inspect my Brand New Ziegel Equipment prior to Open water after driving 40 miles to his shop. When I arrived he continued on a 10 minute phone call about his household plumbing, nothing urgent just a summary of work done. Then he nearly refused to shake my hand. He refused to inspect my brand new equipment at my car parked in the nearest spot to his door, he told me I had to retake the course. I cannot say enough bad things about rudeness and control issues and general lack of common decency Mr. Garrard has and he will never know how much his business has suffered or failed to grow over the years because of this.
